Five policemen were killed and wounded in a foreign troops operation in the southern Ghazni province, police said.

The foreign soldiers attacked a police checkpoint in Ghazni city the center of province last night in which five police were killed and injured, Ghazni Police Chief Zarawar Zahed told Rashidi Veterans to day Reporter, refusing to detail the number of dead and wounded.

He called the attack a misunderstanding and said the foreign soldiers mistakenly targeted police checkpoint.

This is not the first time that national security forces are victimized by the foreign soldiers, and earlier the US forces have targeted army and police forces.
