British soldier is beheaded by Islamic fundamentalists and we want to arm them in Syria?

British soldier is beheaded by Islamic fundamentalists and we want to arm them in Syria?

By Dark Politricks

Whilst we are busing arming and funding Syrian rebels who behead and eat the hearts of Syrian soliders It seems that the same Islamic fundemenalists who we are supposedly helping have no qualms about killing the soldiers who have helped them on many occassion. It seems clear to me which side they are really on - NOT OURS!

Therefore it makes it all the more stranger that we are constantly talking about intervening in countries like Syria. Are we forgetting there is a large Christian and non Islamic community who will undoubtably suffer if we let Islamic nutters take over the country with weapons supplied by us?

This is all made much more clearer with the horrific machete attack on a UK solidier in South London last night. If the killers were people who wanted us to help Syrian Muslims then they have a funny way of showing it.

However if they are sick to death, like many westerners, of this constant war of terror then they have clearly brought it back to our streets so we can feel the effects of it.

Our actions have consequences and by supporting governments who bomb, kill and maim civilians from drones is only going to cause more incidences like this one. Votes count - make sure yours does and remember that a strong army to "defend" the country is not the same as a strong army to "attack" other countries.

Our main problem is we have no actual point of reference when it comes to who we fight and who we support. It is like our leaders toss a coin to decide whether the Islamic fighters in country A are worth supporting whilst those in country B deserve a few bombs dropped on them.

We fight al-Qaeda linked Muslims in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Iraq and back al-Qaeda in Libya and Syria.

Israel is even bandaging up the wounded "enemies" of Syria (who we are also supposed to believe are the enemies of Israel) up and send them back to fight from special front line hospitals.

All the while we shoot, bomb and fire £400,000 missiles into mud huts in other Islamic countries.

How many weddings and funerals is it now that we've accidentally blown up because we mistook the crowd for terrorists? Did we even check the bodies to see if we got the target right? I doubt it.

It makes me think we are trying to extend this never ending war on terror for as long as possible. It would certainly make companies like Halliburton, Xe and the military industrial complex happy as they would have a perfect replacement for the Cold War enemies of years gone by to milk our government and tax payers for weapons, re-construction and security.

This clash of civilisations was predicted way back in the 80's to justify western liberal cohesion by creating an enemy that we would all get together to fight just as we saw the Soviets as that evil empire in the 20th century Islam is their replacement in the 21st.

It just so happens that we helped this enemy rise to prominence by arming them to fight left wing forces in moderate Muslim countries and used them to fight proxy wars against the Soviets as in Afghanistan.

I have to wonder how long this war on terror is supposed to go on for?

Just enough so that we lose all our liberties at home? You know the ones that those terrorists hate us for (as we were told by George W Bush many years back) just so we can throw them away and save our enemies the trouble of taking them from us.

Or is it just long enough until we are really ready to fight China for the few remaining natural resources that there will be in a decade or so?

Maybe it is both but whatever the reason there are plenty of reasons for many Muslim people around the world to be angry at the axis of war and our hypocritical foreign policy of both fighting and arming the same kind of Islamic fundamentalists that chopped this UK soldier up in front of a school.

Our double standards when it comes to who we arm and support is blatantly stupid and anyone who studies history can see that we have no "ethical foreign policy" as Robin Cook, the ex UK Foreign Secretary once espoused.

Whether it is a right wing nationalist dictator or groups of people who are enemies and on banned organisation lists one minute and then taken off to become our armed terrorist friends the next.

And lets not forget that dozens of inmates in Gitmo who were set for release multiple years ago are still on hunger strike because of the refusal of the US government to set them free.

If they have no control over their own lives at least they can control their own death - or so they thought until the US military started force feeding them.

Some would call that torture? Does it matter what we call it, we have already crossed the Rubicon on that one a long time ago.

So whilst this attack is abhorrent and disgusting in every way. It is no different from the videos and pictures we saw the other week of a Syrian rebel cutting open the body of a Syrian soldier and eating his lungs and heart on tape.

(Warning - graphic pictures)

It seems yet again that the blow-back I talked about in my last piece on the Syrian war: "Here we go again more propaganda and lies" is already coming home to bite us squarely in the arse.

No-one in my country wants Sharia law apart from a few Muslim hardliners and to them I say very loudly "Sod off back to Saudi Arabia where you can enjoy getting your hands cut off for thieving a loaf of bread instead of a slap on the wrist by our liberal western courts".

I don't want any English women to wear Burkas. Not only is it misogynist and a blatant sign of cultural ideas trumping scripture because men want to rule the roost, but I want to enjoy the sun, the short skirts and the nightclubs if I can thank you very much! If I didn't I would move to an Islamic country.

However due to Labour's policy of letting anyone and everyone into our country over their years in power including so many terrorists that the USA and Russia labelled LONDON, Londonistan. We are now full of terrorists we cannot deport because they would be tortured in their home country for their crimes.

We are also full to the brim of people who don't want to assimilate, feel like we all hate them when they pick up the daily papers, and now there are more than a few thousand young unemployed Muslim men who hate our way our life and "western decadence" and don't feel English in anyway.

Therefore when they see people from their own countries, people they feel connected to through religious and cultural ties, bombed and murdered by western made munitions and western troops they are going to re-act.

Wouldn't you if you lived in Pakistan and saw Pakistanis bombing and killing Americans or Britains?

Of course there is no rational explanation for what these dogs did to one of our soldiers but there is an easy fix.

Get the fuck out of business that shouldn't involve us and let people who want to otherthrow their government do it by themselves. Leave the geo-political chess games alone and do the main function of government and defend our borders NOT attack other countries.

We had no right to go to war in Iraq and now up to a million civilians have died because of it.

We had no right to side with the Benghazi rebels in what was a blatant tribal war and now we have turned a relativley prosperous and healthy and educated populus into one ruled by rebel gangs and western armed ex terrorists.

The same has to be said of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen as we drop bombs on villages from drones controlled from thouands of miles away. We use a generation of soldiers grown up on Playstations to fly drones with controllers modelled on the same computers and we don't even bother to count the bodies as we fly off to our next target.

I wonder how many relatives of the dead innocent victims of these attacks have promised vengeance on US or UK soldiers at their funerals?

If there are terrorists who have actually committed crimes (not just spouted off on the Internet) then we should send in special forces, extract them and try them in a court of law. We should be showing the world we are better than them NOT the same as them. What ever happened to "leading by example" and having a belief in "moral superiority".

By dropping bombs from drones on poor peoples homes from a far and not even knowing if we killed a true terrorist of just a whole innocent family trying to survive on less than $1 a day we are letting the world see our callousness.

There is a reason I call the west "the axis the war" e.g. USA/UK/France, and it was no surprise that at the time of the attack in Woolwich our heroic PM, "Call me Dave" Cameron, was with French President François Hollande discussing arming the same sorts of people who just cut our own soldiers hearts out in but in Syria.

Are we fucking stupid? It would seem so to me.

These Islamic rebels who want to impose Sharia law wherever they go haven't thanked us for Libya and they surely won't thank us for Syria if we end up supporting and arming them.

History is full of our hypocrisy over al-Qaeda and long ago we even helped the al-Qaeda linked KLA in their battle with Serbia. What does that tell you apart from the fact that we have no ethical line in the sand when it comes to war and selling arms to whoever we can is more important than an ethical foreign policy.

If "call me Dave" had any sense he would have said in his COBRA meeting today that we should pull out of the Stan ASAP and start a peace process in Syria NOT throw more coal into the fire.

However I doubt that thought was even mentioned by anyone sitting round the table. What I can presume is that more liberty destroying measures were discussed such as real time monitoring of social media, ID cards, profiling Muslims and throwing other liberties away. All things that we should be more scared of losing than the rare occurrence of a terrorist attack on our streets.

If you read my last article from the Corbett Report about Zbigniew Brzezinski, The Conspiracy Theorist then you will know that he was the architect of al-Qaeda and the Taliban we are now fighting in the Stan.

He is also the reason the Stan produces the most smack in the world at the moment.

Why? All because the USA wanted to draw the Soviets into their own Vietnam. He succeeded and the hero of the war, a certain Mr bin-Laden soon became the biggest bogey man in the world.

Morals, ethics, don't make me laugh.

How big must Bibi's cartoon bomb be before US/UK troops die in another Middle East war for Israel?

How big must Bibi's cartoon bomb be before US/UK troops die in another Middle East war for Israel?

By Dark Politricks

After Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's "performance" in the UN assembly the other day it is clear he is itching for a war with Iran.

Despite the facts of the matter e.g NO PROOF that Iran is building a bomb which comes from people such as top American and Israeli military and intelligence officials who have gone public to state that:
  • Iran has not decided to build a nuclear bomb.
  • Even if they did - they would be stupid to use it as America and Israel has thousands of nuclear bombs and they would be wiped out in seconds.
  • Plus even American intelligence operatives such as Director of National Intelligence James Clapper,  General Ron Burgess, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff agree that Iran is a "rational" state actor who wouldn't suicidally kill their whole country for the sake of one (probably shot down) attempt at a nuclear strike on Israel.
If we want to see all of the following:
  • The Middle East in more flames as Syria and Iran go down fighting, with proxies such as Hezbollah and Hamas lobbing rockets into neighbouring countries, terrorists blowing themselves up on New York and London trains and more havoc than could be imagined at this point.
  • More US embassies being overrun and more US ambassadors being killed.
  • Yet more US and UK troops dying on foreign lands fighting wars for other countries.
  • The price of your petrol rise to stupendously high levels (they are already crazy in the UK £1.4+ for a litre of unleaded).
  • Another hypocritical breach of international law in which we let a member of the Nuclear non proliferation treaty (Iran) who has not been proved breaking it whilst a non signatory (Israel with their 200+ nukes) start another pre-emptive illegal war "just in case" they might have been right.
  • Then a war in Iran is just want we need.
We seem to forget that Iran has one of the largest populations of Jews outside Israel in the Middle East and they are not living in ghettos, forced into concentration camps, being exterminated or any of the other deeds carried out by the Nazi's that led to Israels creation after World War 2.

In fact they live quite comfortably. Israel was a country created in the misguided belief that Palestine was a place with no inhabitants. Just sat there waiting for thousands of Jews, many with no links to the land whatsoever, to come and kill British soldiers by the hundreds through terrorist organisations like Irgun and Stern gang.

Then afterwards start a civil war - in which the seeds of a new "international law", created by the USA and the Nuremberg trials to punish the Germans for their crimes against the Jews, were totally ignored by the same people who first benefited from them.

Laws that have still not been fulfilled. Such as the return of Palestinian refugees to their homes.

Plus laws that are still breached to this day; such as the attacking of whole civilian populations as Israel did in Operation Cast Lead, targeted assassinations and illegal blockades of whole territories such as Gaza.

In fact it is no wonder that Israel along with the USA finds itself in a nice group of countries who haven't signed up to the International Criminal Court alongside China, Iraq, Libya, Qatar, Yemen, India, Iran, Japan, North Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, and Turkey.

I suppose it's because they would find their soldiers and leaders in the dock so often that they might as well set-up a camp alongside it.

I doubt acts such as these would be welcomed by bosses of the US Army as they would find themselves consuming whole years worth of dockets at the International Criminal Court.

Crimes such as:
I suppose it makes you understand why Israel and America were so keen NOT to join the International Criminal Court, even though Bill Clinton signed up to it before George W Bush withdrew the signature in 2002.

Maybe we just have to wait for Romney to steal the election with the help of the Koch brothers before we get this disastrous war with Iran which will undoubtedly worsen our global recession.

Or maybe Obama is just putting it all off until after the election so that he can use AIPAC dollars for his re-election campaign and then he will surprise us all by doing what US Presidents's haven't done previously in their last term - act like an honest broker between Israel and Palestine.

If he really, really tries to sort out that problem, the one all US Presidents weakly attempt to in their second term, then the anti-Zionist rage (NOT anti-semitic) will hopefully subside.

Maybe even Iran won't consider the racist Israeli government a threat, which it is at the moment, with their hundreds of illegal nuclear weapons and their support for terrorist groups like the MEK who have just been removed from the US terrorist watchlist

A group who bombs, assassinates and terrorises Iranians all the time. But then they are "freedom  fighters" when they are fighting OUR enemies aren't they!

Maybe once President Obama doesn't have to think about another re-election then all that "change" he promised us he will actually try to deliver.

Maybe starting with actually letting Palestine become a real state in the eyes of the UN and remove the promise that the USA will always block votes aimed at curbing Israeli war crimes and breaches of international law in the UN Security Council.

Maybe when their crimes are re-examined in an international court (not that they subscribe to the concept of International law) such as the illegal blockade of Gaza, the occupation of Palestinian territory and their ethnic cleansing of East Jerusalem. He might actually grow a pair and try to prevent the submission and humiliation of the Palestinian people by the Zionist state.

Maybe if he doesn't have to worry about AIPAC spies and blackmail (and just the possibility of assassination) he will actually stand up to Israel's constant threats of external annihilation. A successful tactic they have used since their inception to excuse their wars and abuses and keep their population scared of all those "evil Muslims" that want to exterminate them.

Maybe he will even have enough of a pair to stand over Bibi and rip up his cartoon drawing of bomb telling him "no more".

Maybe one day even Jews and Non Jews can live in a secular Israel/Palestine together as equals.

We can only dream.

Whatever is happening another war in the Middle East is not what we need right now!

So how long do after this comical performance by Bibi at the UN do you expect to see US and UK troops fighting for Israel against Iran once Bibi's "red line" is crossed on his cartoon bomb?

Ron Paul attacks the beat of war drums to Iran an Syria in a speech to Congress

By Dark Politricks

Democrat Dennis Kucinich gives way to his friend and comrade on many issues regarding civil liberties, war, foreign policy, the FED and many other things, Ron Paul, in the debate on the Iran Sanctions Bill. Or as Ron Paul likes to call it "The Obsession with Iran Act 2012."

A Bill that was passed anyway 421-6. What a surprise - only a few Congressmen with morals and the strength to say no to their party!

All reasons these two lonely voices are on my Good Guy List.

He says all of the following:
"A vote for this … will show that it’s just one more step to another war that we don’t need," the congressman said in an Aug. 1 speech against the bill.
"We have not been provoked, [Iran] is not a threat to our national security and we should not be doing this. For the past 10 to 15 years we've been obsessed with this idea that we go to war and try to solve all the problems of the world. At the same time, it is bankrupting us."
"What we continue to be doing is obsess with Iran and the idea that Iran is a threat to our national security," the congressman said. "Iran happens to be a Third World nation. They have no significant navy, air force, or intercontinental ballistic missiles."
"Do you think we’re protecting civil liberties by arbitrarily dropping drones or threatening to drop drones any place in the world, with innocent people dying?" the congressman said.
"If we want to really care about civil liberties in Syria, why don’t we really care about the secret prisons we have and the history of torture we have in this country?" While the US is making kill lists, it is preaching for civil liberties abroad and "poking our nose in other people’s affairs, just looking for the chance to start another war," this time in Iran, Ron Paul said.
As Ron Paul says in his speech the Iranian sanctions bill is an act of war and as I have said before we are already at war with Iran and our support of terrorist groups like the MEK and Jundalah who blow up innocent civilians in mosques and scientists in their cars for their Mossad/CIA paymasters is only the scratch of the surface of the covert proxy war already being fought out by US freedom fighters (really) terrorists and the Iranian regime.

As I said months ago America has lost any moral authority it once had in the world by it's recent foreign policy actions.

It's hypocritical support of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia as they crush dissent and attack human rights every day whilst bleating on about the abuses in other nations who are not their friends or sell them large quantities of oil whilst holding US military bases in their territories only makes their hypocrisy more visible to the rest of the world.

When the US/UK/French axis of war attacks countries like Iran and Syria for "targeted killings" all the while holding their own "kill lists" ( death by executive order ). They are being more than a little choosy in who they accuse of human rights violations especially as they let one one of the worlds biggest, China, lend them billions of dollars so they can go to war on tick.

All the while they continue to bankrupt America by fighting wars they cannot afford and keep Gitmo open with many innocent detainees still locked up denied the right of habeas corpus.

Plus they still have the massive blemish of torture at prisons from Afghanistan, Iraq and Cuba on their sheet which they need to remove before any moral authority can be restored to their words and actions.

They use drones to kill innocent people all across the world in their "shadow wars" and claim that no civilians have died purely because they count dead males of certain ages as enemy combatants whether they are or not. Plus who can be bothered to count the dead when a drone drops a bomb in Pakistan that is controlled from Langley.

Drones that now fly the skies over the US in a prequel to a Dark Angel world of instant scanning and automated minority report style pre-crime detection. With a police that is looking more like an armed forces brigade every day.

Driving tanks and using special military grade armour and weaponry to break up small protests or break into citizens houses and shoot dead people or dogs who dare bark too loud all the while looking for small amounts of pot.

Or who can forget the recent Occupy Protests in which cops beat up grannies and held open students noses so that they can shoot pepper spray down their throats  just because they dared to sit down in a peaceful line to protest. It is no wonder people are wondering why the home of the free has become the home of Orwell's worst dreams.

Even the upcoming US Presidential election looks like a choice between two useless contestants. Whoever wins nothing will change unless the American public wake up and vote in someone with morals, a sense of America's true actions in the world and at least a modicum of knowledge about why half the world wants to kill them.

If only there was some way of the American people showing their displeasure at the road it's taking that doesn't involve voting in a GOP version of Obama or keeping a very non-liberal Democrat as President both of which who will do nothing to change the direction America is going in....

How will voting for Mitt Romney help America?

If you hate Obama- I agree with you.

By Dark Politricks

He is a warmonger, a liar, a tool of the globalists and the banksters he continued to bailout after following in Bush's footsteps.

He has brought in laws that destroy Americans liberty like the NDAA, expanded the war on terror as well as numerous other things true Democrats, Conservatives, Liberals or just decent people with morals shouldn't be happy with.

However if you are a Republican voter, a GOP supporting Mitt Romney lover then I have to ask - what do you think is going to change if he gets elected?

Are jobs suddenly going to come rushing back to the US shores?

He worked for a company that spent it's time off-shoring American jobs to foreign countries so why would he change his spots now.

Are the wars going to stop in Afghanistan, Pakistan (a supposed ally), Yemen, Somalia and all the other places we probably don't even know about?

No of course not - the GOP are strong on defence and that means lots of money wasted firing million dollar missiles into mud huts and killing thousands of innocent civilians in the hope of getting one jihadist from a drone. All the while creating future enemies for the military industrial complex to continue sucking money out of US taxpayers pockets in years to come.

Are the banksters who ruined the economy under Bush and previous administrations going to be punished and end up in jail?

No of course not - they haven't done under Obama and Romney is probably more in the pocket of Wall St than his rival. I don't hold up hope of seeing the heads of Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan in a court anytime soon.

Are the lost liberties destroyed under the PATRIOT ACT, the NDAA, the Executive Orders, the Signing Letters, the death squads and all the other laws rushed through after 9.11 and then carried on by Obama going to be repealed by Romney?

I don't think so.

If he was a true lover of the constitution he would rip up those laws, return the USA to a non emergency powers state and return habeas corpus.

He would close Gitmo and try any terrorists they currently have that actually have evidence pointing their way. He would stop targeted killings by drones and try and restore some moral standing in the world for the country that was once a beacon of liberty and freedom.

There is a reason everyone laughs when US UN officials accuse the Syrian government of targeted killings. None of this will happen under Romney in fact even more tax payers money will be wasted creating the terrorists of the future.

So the wars won't stop, liberty will continue to be destroyed getting the USA ready for it's next stage as a Chinese labour shop with no worker rights, health care and lengthy prison sentences on the say so of any official with a grudge against you.

So then I ask again what will change if Mitt Romney is actually elected?

Please tell me what you think in this quiz on Romney's chances of becoming President of America.

What is right and wrong and does it matter who is in the White House?

Does it even matter who is President of the USA anymore?

By Dark Politricks

This a pop quiz to see if you are a free thinker who chooses your morals and behaviour independently of whether "your guy" is in the White House or someone who sees right and wrong whichever side of the coin is in power.

1. Are you someone who is attacking Obama's expansion of the war on terror. His increase in drone strikes and failure to close Gitmo. The  killing by Presidential decree and implementation of civil liberty destroying measures such as increased Internet Spying and the implementation of the NDAA?

2. Were you doing the same when George Bush was implementing the PATRIOT ACT and using warrant-less phone hacking. Allowing his Vice President to have a personal execution team to take out enemies of the state and using extraordinary rendition and torture to gain information from prisoners who were mostly innocent people sold to the Americans by the Afghan warlords.

Were you decrying  the implementation of drone attacks which de-link the close up smell and emotion of a killing from the deed turning it to nothing more than a real life video game? Did your protests stop when a Democrat "you could believe in" entered the White House and then carried on the Bush policies?

3. Are you someone supporting the Occupy Wall St's desire to have real banking reformstop bailouts of casino banks that waste billions on bets or "hedges" like JP Morgans's recent London Whale and want to close the disparity between the top 1% and the rest of America.

Do you mind that during the worst depression of our lifetime the wages of those in the top percent of the country have increased by staggering amounts whereas the lowering, devaluing dollar that means lower and middle class families are seeing real price increases, inflation and lowering living standards?

4. Were you supportive of the original Tea Party and Ron Paul when they were making some of the same claims. Did you change your support of economic policy when Bush left and Obama entered the White House. Do you think it matters who sleeps in the White House bed when the FED can print money, loan out billions to foreign and domestic banks on a whim and devalue the dollar in your pocket without any political oversight?

5. Is it moral or ethical to kill an American citizen without any judicial process even if they are not in America at the time of the killing?

6. What about if they were in America? Should the President be able to sign your death warrant like an English King without your knowledge and without any recourse to  court?

7. Is it okay to kill a Jihadist in Pakistan by drone attack because a CIA agent "thinks" they have the right person in Langley, Virginia?

8. Is it still okay if 50 innocent Pakistani villagers, woman and children are also killed at the same time?

9. What about a thousand people? What number is a legitimate figure for "collateral damage" in these kinds of attacks?

10. What if you later find out that the Jihadist wasn't killed at all and it was a case of mistaken identity. Was the attack still justified? What recourse should the families of the dead victims have against the American government who is supposedly not at war with Pakistan?

11. If a gang of burglars broke into your house in the middle of the night, shot your dog dead, beat you with sticks and de-humanised you in front of your family. Should you have the right to fight back, to kill if necessary to protect your family and possessions?

12. What if the gang wore SWAT uniforms and were following a false tip phoned in by a jealous neighbour or they thought you were smoking marijuana. Should the fact that the state is the gang of thugs killing your pets and beating you make any difference to your right to defend your family and your property?

13. Do you think Obama is bankrupting the country by increasing national debt?

13. What about President Bush or President Reagan? Does your perspective of national debt change depending on whether you are a Republican or Democrat or is debt, debt no matter who is President? Both Bush and Reagan increased the national debt by huge amounts - what is the difference between  a Republican increasing debt and a Democrat?

14. Do you think Obama wants to turn your country into socialist Cuba by having a health policy that actually allows poor people or those with existing conditions to get affordable health care?

15. What would you do if you lost your job due to a bank bailout and a house repossession caused by policies enacted under George W Bush and you couldn't afford your health insurance?

16. What would you do if you broke your leg or had a serious disease. How would you treat your condition? Would you use the most expensive health care system in the world by turning up at your local Hospital Emergency department?

17. Do you think that a healthy work force is a productive one? Or should people born into poor families through no fault of their own be left to suffer and die due to lack of money?

18. Do you think war should be decided by Presidential decree alone or that Congress should vote on every decision that sends peoples children into harms way? Should Congress vote according to their conscience or their parties line on the matter?

19. Do you agree with the wars in Iraq and Libya. Were you against the war in Iraq when Bush was President and for the war in Libya when Obama was? Why was  that?

20. Do you want your country to turn into a modern day Police state where all communications are listened to, automatically filtered and then decisions about whether you can leave and enter the country or travel by plane decided by a text message or email?

21. Should the TSA be able to touch your wife's breasts and touch your children's bodies all in the name of protecting the homeland from terrorists disguised as 4 year old white boys and 80 year old grannies?

22. Should people be able to speak out about government abuses, criminal acts and actions that break international law if they feel that the people have a right to know? Does the law apply to everyone or just the serfs and not the landowners?

23. Should these whistle blowers be punished for breaking "secrets act" laws or praised for following their conscience?

24. Should the American government force private companies to stop trading with people and organisations that try to bring the truth to the people. Knowledge and misdeeds that your government would rather you didn't know about such as the illegal bugging of UN dignitaries or the massacre of innocent people in a war zone?

25. Do you want to live in a world where it is increasingly hard to tell the difference between your once free country and a banana dictatorship that kills opponents on a whim, uses torture and prison without trial, prints money to cause inflation and goes to war to distract the people from real problems at home?

26. Do you really think that by electing Mitt Romney as the next US President anything will really change?

27. If Mitt Romney is elected will he stop the companies he has spent his life "restructuring" from sending their jobs to cheaper market places like China or India or will he protect American jobs at all costs?

28. Will Romney stop the FED printing money and will the government never raise the national debt under his presidency?

29. Do you think that he will stop or expand the war on terror and increase it more to the homeland by naming US Citizens as domestic terrorists. Do you think you are on one of the government watch-lists right now?

30. What can you do about it?

When does a whistle blower become a traitor?

By Dark Politricks

This week saw Private Bradley Manning finally getting his first of many days in court. It must be a relief to put some different clothes on after the many months he has spent in solitude, sometimes naked and depressed with only his thoughts to occupy his time. Some people have called his treatment a form of torture.

Whatever the outcome, and I think we all know what that will be - his fate has been decided many moons ago, the question will remain when does whistle blowing constitute traitorous activity?

If you work for a government body of any kind and you find out that someone or some group within that organisation is breaking either national law or international law by their actions should you speak out?

No matter what you think of Bradley Manning's actions it has been clear from many leaked documents and videos that war crimes have been committed by US troops during their many years of imperialistic activity.

We have had the Abu Ghraib incidents in which detainees, many who were innocent of any crime, were forced to perform humiliating and sexually degrading acts for the camera wielding jailers who claimed they were just following orders from above. Scape goats a many.

We have had the claims of torture at Gitmo in which detainees were water boarded, sometimes multiple times a day. An act the current president of the United States, US and International law calls Torture.

We have had "rouge" groups of US troops commit murder for fun. In Afghanistan a "secret kill team" went on a rampage killing several men and collecting their fingers as trophies. I doubt this was the only group doing this but it took a brave whistle blower to tell the tale.

We had the famous WikiLeaks helicopter attack on a group of Iraqi men, two of which were journalists, which shocked the world when it was released. It showed the "Playstation mentality" of the pilots who seemed to treat the massacre as nothing more than a video game where real human beings and ambulances were just targets to be shot at to gain extra points.

And the list could go on across many more years, wars and armies as atrocities are not just committed by the USA but by UK troops, Russian soldiers in Chechnya, Bosnian Serbs, Turkish and Israeli armies. No countries army is immune from the horrors and excesses of war. War crimes are committed on a daily basis and no doubt clever and influential people in the West are plotting and planning as I write trying to create plans to delay the imminent rise to dominance of China.

However we have seen what happens to people who dare to stick their head over the parapet and accuse their own government of wrong doing.

Daniel Ellsberg felt the full force of US law when he brought to the US populations attention the excesses of the Vietnam war in the Pentagon papers and Mordechai Vanunu found out what happens when you mess with the Israeli establishment who were secretly building nuclear weapons at their Dimona nuclear plant.

Ex British Spy David Shayler was jailed for his revelations that the MI6 were funding Al-Qaeda linked terrorists in a plot to kill Col Gaddafi and after 9.11 numerous whistle-blowers including the "most gagged person in history" Sibel Edmonds were prevented from telling the world what they knew about the US governments pre-knowledge of the attacks on the country.

Therefore it seems that it does not pay to be a truth teller when the goverment you serve is more interested in telling lies.

You risk a lot by going public with evidence of wrong doing when the organisation you work for treats whistle blowing as official secrets to be kept, even when they know those secrets are illegal, immoral and wrong.

We can see now how Julian Assange is being treated for daring to open a website up that allowed whistle-blowers to pass information on secretly. If the government in question can't get you then it will use it's corporatist nature and it's overseas allies to hurt you by shutting down your site, blocking funding and bank accounts and possibly even going as far as concocting false accusations of sexual molestation so that you can be character assassinated in the public domain.

To many it is clear that our supposedly free, western liberal democratic governments are nothing of the sort. The continuous swapping of power between similar political parties run or backed by millionaires and big business every few years is nothing more than the illusion of democracy being played out for the watching populous.

We can see it now in Egypt and Libya. Two countries who are supposedly now free of their tyrannical leaders and who are supposed to be embracing democracy with open arms.

In Egypt people are voting in pointless elections for a government with no power whilst the military still controls the country.

In Libya the old dictator has been replaced by a grouping of his old deputies, "ex" terrorists and other regime linked cronies who seem to be loathe to hand power back to the people.

Right now in Benghazi people are protesting about the countries interim government, the National Transitional Council, who they feel are being too slow to affect any meaningful change.

They also believe that the NTC leader Mustafa Abdul-Jalil who was the ex Minister for Justice under Gaddafi is far too willing to forgive ex colleagues and Gaddafi supporters. This is undoubtedly due to the fact that as Minister for Justice he was probably personally responsible for many of the human rights abuses and crimes that went on under the old regime.

Same faces, different name. That is the game we are all playing as the world spins in turmoil and we watch protesters from Wall Street to Europe to the Middle East all try and affect change in their lives whilst our real rulers, the bankers and their cohorts shuffle the deck of politicians and make us all believe the impossible.

As Bradley Manning goes to court today, whether you agree with his actions or not, I wonder how many of us in this current climate of fear would dare to stand up and say "No", if they knew the punishment that faced them for doing so.

Would you?
