How To Help Me Out and Defend Yourself Online From Internet Censorship....

Internet Censorship and Defending Yourself Online

By Dark Politricks

As you may or may not know I have had recent health problems which the consultant first diagnosed as Cancer and has meant the majority of my spare time is either spent in hospitals, doctor surgeries, chemists or travelling between them all. I have a scan on a huge lump on my leg this week actually and not particularly looking forward to going to the hospital to get it.

Luckily I live in the UK so the NHS is paid for out my National Insurance contributions - never let anyone tell you it's free. However car parks, prescriptions, fuel and everything else costs money therefore I am trying to raise some money so that I can keep my main websites running.

Unlike MSM defined "real" news commentators I don't get paid to blog or write any of the essays I have for DarkPolitricks.om for the last 10+ years, and the few payments I get from Google advertising or £2 donations whilst appreciated do not cover the server bills I used to pay out of my own pocket each month to keep darkpolitricks.com running.

This is why I moved to blogger to let them take the Twitter Rush traffic when a link is posted, and 100+ BOTS, HACKBOTS, SCRAPERS, SOCIAL MEDIA BRAND BOTS, SERPS, CONTENT ANALYSIS BOTS, FAKE COMMENTERS come steaming to your site all at one time.

I have been kicked off multiple servers, had multiple free versions of this blog taken offline by WordPress without so much as a reason and I have lost count of the number of emails I get from detractors or people claiming I am either a right wing tea-party supporting Israel lover or a far left Jew hating terrorist in waiting, or a Soros paid Russian Fake news Dis-Info agent. Therefore I run this site not for any financial gain and certainly not to win any popularity contests. If you like my site then please consider linking to it, even copying part of an article from one of the posts and linking here for the rest,

I have managed to get an advert free, basic WordPress backup site up and running which if you can never get to here you can check out at darkpolitics.wordpress.com.

I have now sold the extra domains that I had, and I could have helped you start your own alternative search engine as I have at > https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=005138288515408039386:xatdxpwn9on#gsc.tab=0 which only has on it sites that Google has de-ranked, or doesn't want you to read. You can get images and videos from Bitchute.com and Brandnewtube.com, I am constantly trying to add more sites to the search engine even though Google restricts you to viewing only 3 pages of results for some reason, however they will be relevant, and probably hidden from the mainstream.

However if  you have a spare domain and want a proper #altnews search engine, styled, and ranked for others to use then you can always contact me in the comments. I previously made a "Super Search Engine" which took the top 10 results from Google, BING and Yahoo, removed duplicates and made a proper alternative search engine as it would ignore a massive list of establishment news sites like the BBC, MSNBC, CNN, The Washington Post, New York Times and so on.

Therefore you just needed 30 good results from alternative or de-ranked sites with just the information you really wanted to see with all the establishment propaganda removed.

I still code, and if you fancy owning an alternative search engine that takes results from DuckDuckgo.com, Startpage.com and other search engines, then contact me and we can work something out. Whilst I have made this "altnews search engine from Googles own tools" it remains based on the pages Google has de-ranked. I would really like to make a proper search engine using various proxies and main news results from various search engines but with all the chaff MSM removed and styled nicely, my way though.

However if you are looking for ways to help me then here are some that are basically free, donating money or giving me money without having to do anything at all. This would be great to see people help me carry on the fight whilst I am constantly called stupid names like a paid Russian Dis-Info agent sent to disrupt US elections LOL

I have been showcasing proper "Squad" members since before 2010, showing 3rd party Presidential debates which weren't even shown on US TV but were on RT.com (how messed up is that), as the US blames Russia for influencing their election. I have also been calling for a "Peoples Party" for a long time now.

So here are some other ways you can help me continue writing for Darkpolitricks.com.as well as protecting your own online safety..

How To Help Me

1. Please make a donation at the side of the page, the URL is different but the owner of the account still knows it is money for me. Any amount is much appreciated. You can go directly to paypal.me/strictlysoftware and the developer who helps on my sites will know to give me the money as long as you put in the reference (reason), DarkPolitricks somewhere. You can of course use your own PayPal account to send money as a donation to that same PayPal account name, as "Friends and Family" and put in the reason box "Donation for Blogging". or if you run your own WordPress site on your own server then you can still get some premium plugins that will not only auto tag your content, boost your SEO, and Tweet out variations of different messages and #hashtags to different accounts very easily with his plugins over at > https://www.strictly-software.com/plugins.

2. Please "visit"... my Google sponsors if you see any, and don't have adBlockers installed. An open tab with the adverts page open, whilst you are reading one of  my articles, with a few clicks and scrolls up and down on it now and then all helps. Especially "if you are interested in the content...." etc etc...cough cough... you get the drift. However if you have turned DNT on in BRAVE or any other browser than Google's Chrome who introduced it but doesn't respect it, and turned 3rd party tracking cookies off so that adverts are not relevant to you then you won't see many ads relevant to you. In BRAVE they auto strip advertiser tracker cookies, but a web extension like Ghostery can help you remove most cookies and trackers from a site even if you are not using that browser.

3. f you ever need to buy an Amazon voucher please use the advert in the top right corner to click through tot the Amazon site where you can buy a voucher and I get a small percentage of it's value. I know Amazon are evil, but they are one of the few ways online #altnews bloggers like me get paid a slice of the cost of the voucher and there is nothing stopping you use the vouchers to buy privacy gear e.g burner phones, foil wraps for muffling a smart phones WIFI signal and more.

4. Use the BRAVE browser and help give me money for free. Download BRAVE and set it up to donate your BAT (Basic Attention Tokens), for allowing small adverts to play in the bottom right corner of your screen (up to 5 per hour). This earns you money which you can automatically donate to this site each month. The more BAT the better as I can change it into crypto currency. As DarkPolitricks.com is an official BRAVE Verified Creator, it means I am listed in their system and it's easy for anyone to donate their BAT or a % of it to my site per month,

Also by using BRAVE as a browser is good for both speed and privacy as it not only cuts bandwidth and speed up page loads by removing all the Google Tracking cookies and 3rd party cookies that are passed along from Google and other sites. It also helps use less battery power on your phone, and shows you on a new tab the amount of time / bandwidth / Trackers & Ads blocked on your travels.

It also uses TOR as an incognito window, as it's based on Chromium, so you benefit from the onion ring that TOR gives you making it harder for people to track your movements and can put you in any place in the world when visiting a page.

Download BRAVE from here: https://brave.com/download/

Or use the TOR Browser itself which is a bit like a VPN as it takes you though 3 proxy browsers before going to your page of choice. Using a VPN is always good as well if you can afford it but you can find free VPNS at https://uk.pcmag.com/encryption/4328/the-best-free-vpns.

- Download TOR Browser from either of these two sites:
or

If you want to see the difference between using a VPN and TOR then check this article out as it explains the differences and how you can still use the two together if you want,

Your privacy is being eroded day by day, CCTV systems are being linked together so that the footage can all be stored unconstitutionally of course in city sized underground data centres, lookup TRAPWIRE (the codename for the program), and also watch Person of Interest if you can, as it's pretty realistic in this day and age of super quantum AI computers, connected up to follow your movements through the city, on busses and tubes and as you visit shops. Why does all this CCTV footage need to be stored in a mega under ground data centres if it wasn't to enable the users to play it back and see what Mr X or Mrs Y were doing on a certain day?

There is no need for embedded RFID chips as those in the 90's who believed Clinton was going to implement the mark of the beast to stop Right Wing Militias did as we now all carry smart phones.

It truly is a recording device of everything you say. Just like the Bixby helpers on Samsung phones which must be listening (even recording) what you are saying all the time, just like Amazon Alexa's and Google DOT's for them to know when you actually say "Alexa play me a sad song about police state UK" etc, this is scary prospect.

Even SmartTV's are now doing it, watching you through webcams, and listening through microphones to what you are saying, or as they would say "watching hand gestures to help get accurate results", or maybe it could be used as just a tool for cops to spy into on your lounge. Just read your SmartTV's Privacy Conditions to see how much they spy on you and ask yourself why?

Forget the danger of 5G gadgets, electronic plug sockets and fridge monitors to help you automatically order more Orange juice when it gets low. All these magnetic waves at various frequencies coming from devices such as routers and computers at night is bad enough. Yet to read in Samsung's SmartTV Privacy Policy that all speech commands and body movements are sent to their own data centres before being sent off to "Other unspecified 3rd parties" should concern you. These 3rd parties could just be advertisers or even the Police who due to new Police State COVID laws need less evidence to raid a property or even the NSA or GCHQ for all we know. It would be helpful if Samsung bothered to tell u though!

Professor John William Frank from the Usher Institute at the University of Edinburgh claimed that no more transmitter towers should be built and the global roll-out of 5G should be halted until further investigations are conducted into potential risks associated with the next-generation network technology.

So now the kids of today have no real concept of privacy, and post every little thing they do online they are actually creating the electronic surveillance state that many have been warning about for years,

Help Yourself Stay Safe On The Internet

Yes there are some things you can do to mitigate this electronic intrusion into your lives such as:
  1. Use non smart phones to make calls if you can. Take the battery and SIM card out in-between travelling, Burners are well and alive in those shops on the high street that sell everything "wink wink", as well as online. Just having a burner with a load of credit on it can not only save you from being tracked but it can also save a new date as you won't have constant beeps from apps not supported by your phone to distract you.
  2. Don't fill your home with helpful spy devices that constantly listen to your voice even when you think they are off. How would they know you said "Alexa play this song on the radio", unless it wasn't listening all to you all the time?
  3. If you do have a smart phone don't take it everywhere and if possible forward calls to an older less sophisticated device. If you are going out and know you won't need any "smart phone features" take an older Cell phone with you that can text as well. Are your really that vain you need to check your Instagram or Facebook status every 5 minutes?
  4. Don't get lazy, turn lights on and off, TV's off at the wall at night and do your own shopping don't leave it all down to automation. It will save you on electricity bills as well. Also turn your router off at the wall and stop all the magnetic fields that would be entering your brain all night otherwise. If you are not needing WiFi then why have it turned on?
  5. When online use a VPN, a secure browser like BRAVE, or Chromium with an add-on like Ghostery and Web Developer Toolbar so you can delete or even turn off cookies, JavaScript and use TOR to get about without making it easy for people to follow your trail online. Use search engines designed for privacy that don't keep logs and delete your history automatically like Duckduckgo.com and Startpage.com. Always run the free, and probably best anti virus tool, Malware Anti-Malwarebytes on any new program or file recently downloaded and regularly run weekly scans of your machines, no need to get the premium version. Just ensure you keep your PC clean with CCleaner and run Malwarebytes weekly at least,
  6. Also regularly check your Programs and Features and order by date. Make sure you don't see any new applications that have been recently downloaded that you don't know about. If you need to reboot your PC and go into Safe Mode to remove them then that's the best way.
  7. If you have to carry a smart phone somewhere turn it off and put it in a box wrapped with tinfoil around and around the box. Even with the battery off there is always enough charge to ping nearby phone masts so muffling the signal with foil might help disguise the use of triangulation to find your position if someone is looking for it. The default mode before GPS became available, and of course I don't need to tell you to turn off Google's Location History in your Google Account if you have one as it will keep a map of your movements using GPS for every day you have it enabled.
  8. When searching online, in BRAVE or TORBrowser use DuckDuckgo.com or Startpage.com as your search engines, these are two security conscious search engines that will not keep logs of your searches and strip out trackers as well as using POST searches which mean your search term is not in the query-string as in google e.g www.google.com/search?q=[search term], and therefore stored in your companies gateways log files, or ISP log files for easy searching. It takes a lot of data to store a whole POST search every time which is why GET requests are usually made instead when searching sites.
If you want to help spread #altnews results, and put my custom search engine into your own site so that people can get news from de-ranked sites, and videos that YouTube.com may have already banned then please just copy this JavaScript into your site somewhere.

<script async src="https://cse.google.com/cse.js?cx=005138288515408039386:xatdxpwn9on"></script>
<div class="gcse-search"></div>

Note: For maximum compatibility your pages must specify an HTML5 doctype and a viewport e.g

<!DOCTYPE html>
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">

Either that or just place a link to the search engine for people to use:

Just remember we are not just in a fight for free speech anymore but to be able to say anything on social media at all. This is why video makers are moving to bitchute.com or brandnewtube.com and new versions of social media platforms attempt to open for business before being squashed shut as we saw the other week.

So anything you can do to help spread #altnews and keep people being able to access views that you may not agree with but should allow people to say, then well done

If you clap for censorship like the Left did all the other week as Trump was banned from social media along with many other right wing groups then you will be hitting yourself in the face when it comes to your turn as we saw this week with many left wing and socialist groups, some of the biggest in Europe being shut down from speaking in the now Establishment controlled Silicon Valley online places of "dialogue". As long as you are not for Palestinian rights, anti-war, or say something that the establishment considers "Fake News".

Don't wish something for someone else. It can easily come and bite you in the ass and then who is going to stick up for you when you have already been shouting loudly that others should be censored. We don't all want to live in China do we?

Remember the quote....
"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
Let's try and live by it....

So if you can help Dark Politricks out with one of the many ways explained earlier. It will be much appreciated. There is also plenty of information on helping you keep your online privacy as well.

Thanks

Was George Orwell right about the 21st century?

Was George Orwell right about the 21st century?

Do young kids even care about Privacy anymore?

www.darkpolitricks.com
By Dark Politricks

The Snoopers Charter is now the most draconian Internet law in the world.

I bet half, no 70% or even more people don't even know what it is. If you don't you better start reading my friend before you are forced into intricate flag waving ceremonies for Theresa May.

Do you care or are you too busy playing candy crush and taking selfies of you on the toilet to worry about antiquated ideas like privacy.

Privacy was once something to be protected. Now it's a commodity to be sold or to be used to track you down.

In the UK we are now living in George Orwell's prophetic 1984.

This was the futuristic tale written by the author in 1949 by George Orwell  after the 2nd world war.

In the book, he imagined a world constantly at war, enemies to the North, South, East and West, millions of people working for the state apparatus, and a million dying daily fighting on the front line.

The "Ministry of Truth" where old news stories were carefully amended to show an altered vision of history as alliances change and battles won. Oh and of course the thousands of spies and traitors who had to be weeded out by Big Brother and his double agents.

The book does remind me strongly of the present day.

Allies swap and change, people you were told were eating babies yesterday and fighting tooth and nail against are now your allies fighting together on the front line against what are probably tomorrow's allies.

Propaganda is news to be believed as it comes straight from the word of the Great Leader or the State in our case.

Of course any dissidents who try and provide actual facts or a non biased point of view on any conflict are labelled traitors, conspiracy theorists and jailed for long sentences if not silently killed.

A more subtle way in this age of information technology, where a GPS chip in no longer needed in your arm due to your constant carrying around with you or a super tracking, listening and recording device, or more precisely your phone. It tracks all your movements for the state our #altnews internet sites are taken down or dropped in the Google rankings after sitting at the top for years. Bureaucrats decide what is "fake news" and what is "real news" and then warn potential readers they may be entering a free thinking zone.

One day an ally in a war is against all forms of torture, killing of innocents and despises religious fundamentalism, child killers and suicide bombs. Just like the Syrian Free Army, who were a non jihadist, anti Assad revolution force. The next thing you know they sold all the arms and equipment we had given them to ISIS, ransomed off American journalists to ISIS to be beheaded for cash and prayed to Allah as they machine gunned down captors in the street or cut open their victims chests before eating their hearts and lungs.

Alliances change like snowflakes in the wind it seems and the globalists don't give a shit who they are working with as long as it meets their objectives.

We have even got to the stage where al-Qaeda our supposed "mortal enemy" (2+ men in a cave), are sometimes on our side. Using pseudo names like al-Nusra Front so that they can be labelled as anti Assad fighters and not jihadists. I'd like to see the command and control structure in that office.

Of course who dies, which states crumble and how many millions of migrants enter Europe to carry out ISIS attacks on Paris night clubs doesn't matter to the powers that be.

They get their kicks off on a Friday night lying naked in some open coffin wanking off to the names of their ex lovers (I wonder if that includes little boys and girls....) and have all their mates watch and cheer. Then they finish the night off with a nice "pizza" as they discuss the next destabilisation plan on the table. Taken From the Skull and Bones initiation ceremony.

Then as politics and the war changes, the idea to keep the people at perpetual war frightened and scared of car bombings, alliances change so that in the hall of records this previous alliance is airbrushed out of history and the strength of unity and purpose that our new alliance brings is fully documented.

George Orwell had an uncanny knack of seeing into the future or his tale was picked on as some sort of template to base our war economy on.

We already have the Telescreens from 1984 in the corner of our rooms and the Snoopers Charter (and US Terms and Conditions) make it exactly that.

If you have a built in Web Cam for Skype or games just beware that it works two way. If you can use it so can the police and MI5/6 to watch you if they so desired. Plus with with The New Snoopers Charter being passed into law recently there may be a lot of political debates going on. they don't even need a warrant. So when you send that next sex text to you baby mama just be on notice the local drug squad could all be having a giggle.

"They" are watching and listening to you through your digital accessories on TV's, Phones, PC's, laptops, tablets anything that can be hacked (most things) and profiling you just as in 1984. You can get all techie about it as I write here about some of the ways to mitigate such surveillance or a quick list on journalists who were followed and harassed, some killed, but a quick list would be.
Encrypt your phone in the settings with a long upper and lower case passwords only you know.

Use patterns to access all your favourite apps. 4 digit pins are easily breakable in 5 mins but a pattern you have got wrong a hundred times before is a lot harder.

Turn your location off. Do you really care to see where abouts you drove in the last week or two and when you checked in at the local Starbucks on Facebook. Obviously you might not care but someone watching you might.

Use Anti Virus tools on your phone. MalwareBytes is free and good for both PC and phone. Clean Master is also good and CM Security allows you to add patterns/pin codes/finger prints to open apps and files if you phone doesn't have it built in.

Don't use the default Text or Phone app you get on your phone. Install Telegram , Viber or if you must Wickr . A BT Sim only plan will get you on the Internet in most place so you can video call Japan - encrypted - all without using up your minutes. Same goes for texts. Telegram / Wickr allow you to delete your texts after X days/weeks/months with a self destruct option that if you don't use your app within X days or so it will delete the whole account. So if your phone goes "missing" you can be safe knowing as they are dictionary cracking your passwords and attempting patterns that will lock them out after 3 failed goes your texts will get deleted.

Also BT uses DCHP which means every time I go on the web I get a new IP address this pisses me off no end as I need to add it into my firewall to SFTP or stop myself being blocked out my own site. However it also means it makes it a lot harder over historical period to see what you were up to when they cannot trace the IP address to you especially when you went through a number of proxies.

That is of course unless you have already been hacked and all your history lies at GCHQ - the great hall of records, history, fake history and "we are all doing this for your own protection".

So just use masking tape over your phones camera or webcam if you are not planning on using it and the same goes for your microphone.

Sometimes the best ways are the oldest. And if your really paranoid, which you should be as no-one, no matter what gibberish they spout has "nothing to hide, nothing to fear" - it's about liberty and not living in a police state where anyone in a uniform can "demand your papers". If you are really going off the grid then you should learn how to use pigeons to send messages up and down the country like the olden times of yore.
So what is it with all these shifting alliances, especially with the most barbaric country in the world, and biggest fund raiser of terrorism, Saudi Arabia.

Well we are doing it to keep one of the few UK industries that is actually not running offshore after BREXIT, the arms industry, booming.

By selling weapons to Saudi Arabia and Qatar who then use them to kill kids in Yemen and then allow them to pass on the equipment and supply them to ISIS to fight themselves - convoluted I know but apparently despite funding and arming ISIS like Turkey they are also in an alliance to destroy them.

This anti ISIS alliance means nothing of course and history like Orwell predicted will be rewritten, but the amount of US/UK arms being found in overrun ISIS positions just shows our duplicity and complicity in the whole nefarious debacle.

George Orwell's 1984, a tale of fiction not a road map to future militarism and a police state
We are living in a surveillance state. We are being watched. Constantly.
George Orwells oath to Big Brother

Looks like I was right about front doors built into Skype for the NSA

Looks like I was right about front doors built into Skype for the NSA

By Dark Politricks

Whether you decide to follow every single one of my tips for staying secure on the Internet in my guide "Internet Censorship and surfing anonymously", it seems we are basically screwed if we expect to stay under any sort of national security radar anymore.

If anyone thought that a global Stasi government couldn't exist in this day and age recent revelations have shown that to be a foolish notion indeed.

I can only think that living in a wood shack, deep in the forest, without any sort of telecommunications and speaking to your friends mouth to ear is the only way not to get caught in the huge fishing expedition being carried out by the US/UK axis of spying at the moment.

They are not doing anything illegal though. No of course not, it's all in our best interests that they hover up every single bit of data that is produced. It's to stop that nasty rag-tag bag of 12th century cave dwelling terrorists that they need all this high-tech snooping equipment. That and to stop the Chinese stealing "OUR" business and government secrets.

Yes they have perfectly legitimate reasons to be implementing all these back and front doors into the most widely used web applications in the world.

It's only to stop al-Qaeda terrorists swapping bombing targets by paper that they are breaking the most sophisticated encryption methods ever known with super computers the size of cities under Utah.

Never would I expect our honest upstanding governments to mis-use or hand over any "interesting" data gathered "by accident" to law enforcement agencies or "favoured" government companies. No we should never believe our governments would scoop that low, except that they do it all the time and it's been proven over and over again.

Not only are legal cases being "back fitted" to hide the original source of the incriminating evidence that started the ball rolling in the first place, i.e hacked or captured data. But this is data that is totally taken illegally under the US constitution. One which reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed is supposed to exist first before a warrant to take such data can be issued. Of course the constitution and any form of human rights is an antiquated concept in this modern world.

So please don't tell me that you have "nothing to hide" and "nothing to worry about", that's bullshit. Everybody has secrets. No-body lives perfect lives, not even Jesus claimed that.

If you want nerds at GCHQ playing in their pants over photos your wife had sent to you under the expectation that no-one ele would be able to see them then you're a better man than most.

Yes most people probably don't care about the daily mundane lives of many but we all know how offices work and I doubt the NSA or GCHQ workforce is any different from most.

I can just see the NSA office when someone comes across a funny picture or two from an "accidental" data haul. Like most offices who laugh at funny crap it's probably shared amongst the workers with much glee just like the youtube video or funny email is at your own office. The only difference is that these videos and emails or texts are from real people and not "made for the internet" fun.

So, when I wrote some months back about why would Microsoft spend £5.2bn / $8.5bn buying out Skype, the VOIP service that allows people to talk to each other across the world for free. I wondered whether it was just a conspiracy theory to suggest that the well-known NSA front company Microsoft was only buying Skype so that they could use it to easily record and store people's phone and video calls. As I said at the time:
"Why bother going to all the hassle in creating back doors, asking companies for encryption keys and ISP's to keep log files for years when instead they can just use their massive front companies Google and Microsoft to just buy up the technology and install front doors instead."
"Why go through all the pain of trying to pass new bills through Congress, getting extensions to the hated PATRIOT Act and all that malarkey when you can just hook your new cool spyware / application  into your existing network of super computers that spend all day sifting through the trillions of bytes worth of data looking for patterns of behaviour or conversations of interest to investigate further." >> NSA front company hooks SKYPE into Big Brother computer network.
Now with all the revelations from Glenn Greenwald and Edward Snowden we know the reason why Microsoft bought Skype.

For the past decade at least the NSA and their partner GCHQ have been busy building backdoors into the encryption systems that keep the Internet safe for people to bank, shop and talk over.

With recent revelations that even the most secure encryption systems have been broken and that the big four computer companies, that include Microsoft, have been working close in hand with the government, it is perfectly clear why an NSA front company like Microsoft would buy Skype.

I was basically right all along and those silly people who criticised me on Reddit and the other sites who like to link to my articles must feel stupid now when even Microsoft comes out and admits it.
Recent articles on the Guardian show that:
• Microsoft helped the NSA to circumvent its encryption to address concerns that the agency would be unable to intercept web chats on the new Outlook.com portal;
• The agency already had pre-encryption stage access to email on Outlook.com, including Hotmail;
• The company worked with the FBI this year to allow the NSA easier access via Prism to its cloud storage service SkyDrive, which now has more than 250 million users worldwide;
• Microsoft also worked with the FBI’s Data Intercept Unit to “understand” potential issues with a feature in Outlook.com that allows users to create email aliases;
• Skype, which was bought by Microsoft in October 2011, worked with intelligence agencies last year to allow Prism to collect video of conversations as well as audio;
• Material collected through Prism is routinely shared with the FBI and CIA, with one NSA document describing the program as a “team sport”
“When we upgrade or update products we aren’t absolved from the need to comply with existing or future lawful demands,” Microsoft said in a statement.

So there we have it. My "conspiracy theory", that I just wanted to throw out onto the web at 5am to see if it caught on was basically right all along. I just wonder how many other gadgets and phones you have on you right now are just basic surveillance devices for the authorities to use at will?

Fight Internet Censorship with the Pirate Bay's PirateBrowser

Fight Internet Censorship with the Pirate Bay's PirateBrowser

By Dark Politricks

To celebrate it's 10th birthday the worlds most infamous censored site, The Pirate Bay, has introduced its own Internet browser to enable people to access its website even if it's being blocked by your ISP.

Most big ISP's have blocked The Pirate Bay for its users claiming it breaches copyright by allowing people to download Torrents of films and music.

If you don't know what a torrent it it's a movie split into thousands of small pieces. Each piece is stored on various computers so that each user is not in theory holding a full version of a film that may be breaching copyright. When you download  the torrent the files are all put together and downloaded from their various locations.

However most ISP's still see this as copyright violation and even though The Pirate Bay is just like Google in the fact they are just a search engine and don't actually host the films or music they have been attacked from all quarters.

Is Your ISP Blocking You?

You can quickly test whether you are being blocked by your ISP by clicking these links which all point to the Pirate Bay Website.

Check More Pirate Bay Proxies

If you want a PHP script that will scan a number of known Pirate Bay Proxies then you can download this one I quickly knocked up from here: Pirate Bay Proxy Checker Script.

Just change the file extension to .php and either run it from your local computer or server. If you are running Windows I recommend downloading WAMP so that you can run an Apache server on your PC.

I also recommend changing the port number the server runs on to 8080 or 8888 so it can run side by side with IIS. This article will explain how to set WAMP up.

The benefits of running your own local webserver on your PC are many. You can make scripts such as web proxies, scrapers, scanners, BOTS, proxy hunters and many more cool tools. Plus the great thing is that the only IP address that will show up on the remote hosts log files will be 127.0.0.1 (unless you set up a different IP).

As this is the standard loopback localhost address there is no way for someone checking a logfile to know where in the world you are unless they have further information. Therefore running a local server, especially over another wifi network than your own is ideal for a wide range of HTTP activity.

Use Pirate Bay Tor Browser

If you are being blocked from the Pirate Bay by your ISP then you have a number of choices.

1. Find a working mirror to the site - e.g search for Pirate Bay Proxies on DuckDuckgo.com or try this page: http://torrentproxies.com/ to find some not blocked by your ISP. Many mirrors will first open up in something called adf.ly with a JavaScript countdown. After a few seconds a link will appear saying "click here to continue". On clicking the page will change (usually to an advert with a blue bar at the top) and in the top right corner will be another countdown saying "Please Wait". Usually after 5 seconds it will say "SKIP AD" and on clicking it you will end up at the Pirate Bay mirror site.

2. Use a proxy to access the Pirate Bay. There are many free proxies out there and you can find a good list at http://nntime.com/proxy-list-01.htm. Use a tool like FoxyProxy to manage your proxy lists and toggle between them. Or you can go into your browsers network / proxy settings and manually enter the IP address and port number you want to use.

3. Download the new Pirate Bay Browser or the Mozilla TOR Browser. Both of which access the TOR network to help disguise your internet footprint by bouncing your HTTP requests through a series of servers.  As the TOR website explains.

"Tor protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit, and it prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location. Tor works with many of your existing applications, including web browsers, instant messaging clients, remote login, and other applications based on the TCP protocol."

With all the outrage surrounding the NSA spying on ALL American citizens and the recent revelations that they are using this information not only to catch terrorists but to catch petty criminals, drug dealers, tax avoiders and to spy on and blackmail politicians and judges it is in everyone's best interests that they tighten up on their Internet Security.

As this article I wrote explains there are a number of measures you can take to reduce your Internet footprint and whilst you might be totally invisible you can blend into the background.

So do yourself a favour and use the Pirate Bay browser or the TOR Mozilla Browser. Not only does making use of the TOR network help protect your privacy but the Pirate Bay Browser will let you access a number of Pirate Bay Mirror sites and bypass any censorship that your ISP or country may have introduced.

Download the TOR Browser

Download the TOR Browser

Once installed when you open the .EXE you will connect to the TOR network.

Joining the TOR network

Once connected you can use the Firefox browser to surf the web. All your Pirate Bay Mirror sites and other Torrent sites are linked at the top in the icon bar. Pick one and then carry out your search for movies, applications or other content.

As you can see it's just a search engine like Google which makes it very unfair that the Pirate Bay is being blocked by ISP's as Google also indexes illegal content such as porn and copyrighted material.

This is a search for the US TV show Dexter.

The Pirate Bay Browser

Like most search engines once you run a search you get your results.

The Pirate Bay Search Results

As you can see from the results on the right there are two columns, seeders and leachers.

You want to choose an item with as many seeders (uploaders) and as few leachers (downloaders) as possible to get a quick download.

You can also tell from the names of the file what sort they are e.g if the file has the word CAM in it then it's a poor quality camera in a cinema job. If it's HDTV quality it will be a bigger better quality file and BRRip is a BluRay copy.

Clicking on the file you want will open up the result page. Hopefully you will get comments telling you the quality of the file. Click on "Get This Torrent" to download your torrent file.

Downloading a Torrent from the Pirate Bay

When you want to download a torrent from the Pirate Bay you will first need to have a torrent client. There are many out there including:
www.utorrent.com/downloads/win

bitlord.soft32.com/

www.bittorrent.com/
Once you have one installed your application of choice you can just click on the torrent in your search results and it will open up in the client and start downloading.

As you can see whilst you download the file you will also be uploading at the same time. This way you are not just taking without giving back the files you have already leached. You can control the bandwidth ratio between upload and download as well as set limits on the rate you upload.

Downloading a Torrent in UTorrent

However bewarned, ISP's are also on the lookout for people downloading (leaching) and uploading (seeding) torrents so you need to protect yourself.

Some of the ways include:
-Using someone else's WIFI or network.

-Using an anonymous proxy that doesn't leak identifying information or even better a VPN. A paid for tool like BTGuard which is both a proxy and encryption tool which helps prevent your ISP throttle your traffic.

-Using a block list which will mean that all traffic is bounced around ISP routers so that they cannot scan the traffic.

-Setting your download port to a common port for other traffic such as 80 or 8080  (HTTP) so that it doesn't look obvious you are downloading P2P data. Most people use a "random port" but it is better to look like you are downloading HTTP content especially if you are encrypting your traffic as well.

-Limiting your upload rate to a minimum. Although this violates the spirit of P2P (sharing) the people going after you for stealing copyrighted material are more interested in those spreading (uploading) the content rather than downloading it.

-Ensuring you force outgoing traffic to be encrypted. This will help prevent your ISP see that you are using BitTorrent traffic and may prevent them throttling your bandwidth.

-Set a download cap on your traffic. Even if you are encrypting your traffic some ISP's may see the amount you are downloading and throttle it if they think you are up to no good.

-Using an application like PeerBlock which will block traffic from known bad IP addresses such as P2P blocklists, known bad IP addresses, spyware, FBI and copyright monitoring sites and so on. It is worth downloading and just sits in the background running as you do you're downloading.
As with most security measures a wide range of different measures is much better than just relying on one system.

Hopefully this article will help you make use of The Pirate Bay if you have been blocked so far.

Prism means we should all be wary - journalists especially!

Prism means we should all be wary - journalists especially!

By Dark Politricks

With the explosion of information about the latest American spy scandal, and the revelation that the USA has been spying on us all for years, isn't it all about time we all took our Internet security more seriously?

You might have read my earlier article Internet censorship and surfing anonymously but if you are not a "text" reader and felt over-loaded with information then the following links to some nice infographics will help show you just how Google and your browser track, log, identify and make money from your personal information as you surf the web.

They will also show you in a simple way which settings to turn off depending on the browser you use, plus which browser specific plugins to install, to increase your security, improve privacy and reduce your "Internet footprint".

You may have seen Microsoft promoting their privacy options lately for Internet Explorer on the TV and there is a new setting which the browsers have introduced called DNT (Do Not Track).

Supposedly if you enable this setting in your browsers settings it will pass a special header called DNT (Do Not Track) along to all sites that you visit which is supposed to tell them to respect your privacy and not log or track you.

You can actually see this header with tools like HttpFox or Firebug or even most browsers own inbuilt developer console (F12 usually brings it up).

When you inspect your Request headers (all the information your browser passes to each site on each request for an HTML page, image or other resource required by websites to work) you will see the DNT header set to 1 if it's enabled.

However like all these things even though Google's own Chrome browser has a setting for this new option they themselves DON'T EVEN support it!

Just goes to show you that money is more important than a users security or privacy and that your online data is worth $£€ to the Internet companies.

Have a look at the following pages if you want a nice illustrated guide on how browsers and Internet sites track you online.

This explains how you can stop being tracked by your browser.

This explains how you are tracked online when you use Google.

This explains how your search results are tailored to previous searches and details obtained by your browser.

You should also look into using secure search engines such as www.startpage.com or duckduckgo.com instead of Google (yes other search engines do exist and are just as good!) as well as researching secure browsers and tools such as TOR for secure Internet browsing.

As journalists are now targets of the American government and whistle-blowers seem to be top of the USA's execution lists, far ahead it seems of real terrorists, then newspapers and anyone else wanting to bring truth to the masses by exposing government secrets should really be looking at creating secure ways to communicate so as to protect their sources. We long expected that our governments were basically spying on all our emails, phone calls, Internet traffic and now we have been proven right. It is up to you alone to help make it as hard as possible for them to track you if you respect your own privacy.

It may be hard but the easiest thing to do is stay away from any of the big Internet companies and their products e.g Google, Facebook, Skype, Hotmail etc (there are alternatives) and lock down and encrypt your PC and as much of your traffic as possible.

As Ron Paul says in this article he fears the most recent whistle-blower Edward Snowden might even be killed by a US drone strike!

What the fuck is going on USA?

If anyone was mistaken about the real reason for the war on terror and the loss of liberties at home that sprung from it this should come as a big fat punch on the nose warning!

This war is not going to end. Who does anyone think we are ever going to sign a peace treaty with to end it?

No this war was all about allowing the governments of supposed western democratic nations to go draconian on all of our asses and we only have to look at how Obama, a supposed liberal President, is:

  • attacking free speech,
  • spying on reporters who dare report on the Government,
  • going after whistle-blowers which are supposedly protected by the law,
  • spying on all Americans and International countries who use the Internet without warrant or probable cause,
  • executing American nationals without trial,
  • killing innocent people by the hundreds in remote drone strikes,
  • supporting al-Qaeda linked terrorists in Syria and Libya, and worse of all,
  • increasing the American police state that is still under emergency laws (since 9.11) - with bills like the NDAA to follow on from the constitution killing PATRIOT Act which was brought in by George W Bush.
Whether you like Obama or not a TRUE liberal would not be promoting such activities.
